The military has always recognized that we are stronger together, but that belief has not always extended to those in the LGBTQ+ community. From Don't Ask Don't Tell to the Transgender Ban, LGBTQ+ service members have been forced to grapple with many barriers in order to serve their country. And yet, in spite of all this, members of the LGBTQ+ community continue to show enormous courage by raising their right hand and putting on the uniform.
