Our Team

Volunteer Staff

All of our volunteer staff donate their time to advance the mission of Frost Call on top of their busy professional and personal lives. We could not do this without them!

Dr. Sanders is a clinical psychologist specializing in treating PTSD and other invisible wounds of war that affect veterans and their family members. He is also an avid gamer (with a passionate, somewhat obsessive nostalgia for Halo 1 LANs) and a former Marine, serving 8 years in the Reserves from 2004-2012.

Frost Call was founded out of many conversations with patients who expressed difficulties with loneliness and disconnection from other veterans in their community. Many veterans—including this one—enjoy the camaraderie of gaming with friends. Frost Call serves to foster this uniquely powerful connection between veterans and support them in the journey of adjusting to post-military life.

Cliff Coy, Director of Outreach (He/Him)

Cliff Coy is a former US Army officer. He currently works full time for the Boston Vet Center as the Outreach Specialist. Before moving to Boston and connecting with Frost Call and the Vet Center, Cliff worked as a wilderness educator for the North Carolina Outward Bound School in both their at-risk youth and veterans wilderness programs.

Aly Gillen, Battle Buddy Program Director (She/Her)

Aly is an Air Force veteran and was stationed in Montana. At University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Aly received both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Mathematics. Currently, she works for the Bureau of Labor Statistics as a Mathematical Statistician. Aly is a cozy gamer with hundreds of hours in Stardew Valley, Coral Island, and Sims 4. She also reads a ridiculous amount and spoils her dog and cat.

Kim Sanders, Social Media Manager (She/Her)

Kim Sanders is a civilian ally and passionate about supporting mental health. In her day job, she teaches AP Literature to high schoolers in East Boston. Her favorite games are varied…from Elden Ring to Tunic to Stardew Valley. She is also a reader and committed cat mom to Greg and Garnet.

Latashia is an Air Force Veteran; she works at Lowell Community Health Center as a Case Manager; in her free time, Latashia enjoys volunteering, gaming, and reading. She looks forward to connecting with fellow gamers and hosting events around the commonwealth.
